Training on Mapping

 


On 5th February 2024, Saath Head Office, during a session ITC project team started the process for mapping/surveying application data collection. The training session commenced with the expectations of the team, as conveyed by Mr Raju Param, from the initiation of the process until submission. The project's other essential information was also discussed. Subsequently, Mr Yogesh Rathod, GIS Executive conducted the training of application installation, form download, start data collection, income, facilities, inconveniences, cleanliness, and information about each family member at every point was explained. After the mapping training, members of different age groups were selected by the team in ArcGIS Survey123 application and practical of the survey has been done. Identify errors or areas for improvement. This exercise aimed to make the application error-free and enable perfect mapping. Later, the founder of the organization, Mr Rajendra Joshi, shared his valuable insights with the team about the situation in Nadiaad and Mahemdavad, the expansion of the areas, documentation, projects, family facilities, documents, and the development of the CRC Center. Further discussions were held by the organization's Director, Ms Chinmayi Desai, on team, project, and work, along with planning for the CRC Center in Silod and other necessary discussions. Opinions were sought for rural development and women empowerment in project expansion. Additionally, the organization's director discussed IT-level work with the team, highlighting the impact of today's work, reflecting on it in the coming days, and suggesting how to improve it. Another director discussed the expansion of the project and women empowerment in rural development in detail. The account team demonstrated how to manage accounts, including billing systems, traveling expenses, advances, and other necessary formats. Mr Raju Param introduced each department to the team and familiarized them with the team and the department. Later, the project coordinator had essential discussions with the team and completed the necessary training, ensuring the project's smooth execution.

Child Cabinet at Nani Silod village

On the date of 21-03-2024, the Child Cabinet meeting was held at Nani Siloda Primary School. The meeting primarily focused on the functioning of the Children's Parliament. Introductions were made for the members of the Children's Parliament Cabinet, and discussions were held regarding their roles and responsibilities. The discussion included the duties of the Prime Minister and their role and responsibilities, as well as those of the Ministerial Cabinet, such as the Health Minister, and their tasks. Specifically, the responsibilities of the Cleanliness Minister regarding the cleanliness of the school, including inspection of the grounds and monitoring the cleanliness of the school's sections, were highlighted. Household Surveys in Nadiad and Mahmedabad Blocks

Team successfully conducted 824 household surveys in the Nadiad and Mahmedabad blocks. These surveys were crucial in gathering comprehensive data on the challenges faced by households in these areas. The results highlighted significant issues, such as a lack of access to potable water, proper sanitation facilities, and functional drainage systems for a majority of the households. Furthermore, the surveys revealed high dropout rates among students and alarmingly low literacy rates among women. These findings point to the urgent need for targeted interventions aimed at improving both living conditions and educational outcomes in these communities. In total, 824 households were directly impacted by this survey.
