Hand Wash Activity at Gadva village
On March 26, 2024, a Hand Wash Awareness Activity was conducted at Gadva Primary School. During the activity, all sections of the school were gathered together, and a brief introduction of the organization was given. The practical understanding of handwashing was demonstrated through a demo involving two glasses, a water bottle, and soap. Two students were called upon, and then all students were instructed on the proper handwashing technique, emphasizing the importance of washing hands before and after meals, after using the toilet, after playing, after returning from the market, and after helping with household chores. They were informed that regular handwashing is necessary throughout the day and were taught the correct method step by step by a student. It was explained to them that it is important to trim nails regularly, keep hair clean, and maintain cleanliness to stay healthy, and it is our responsibility to keep our homes, surroundings, and villages clean. The students were instructed to wash hands with plain water first, followed by following the steps using the Hand Wash Kit, and a video was shown explaining how to wash hands properly and the positive impact regular handwashing can have on our health and keeping us free from illness. The activity was well received by both students and school staff who actively participated, and after the Hand Wash Awareness Activity, Hand Wash Kits were distributed to the members of the Child Cabinet, teachers, and school staff to continue spreading awareness through similar initiatives. A total of 45 participants made the activity very successful.
