On March 26, 2024, a Hand Wash Awareness Activity was organized at Gothaj Primary School. During the activity, all sections of the school were assembled, and a brief introduction of the organization was provided. Practical demonstrations of handwashing were conducted using two glasses, a water bottle, and soap. Two students were called upon, and then all students were instructed on the proper handwashing technique. They were informed about the importance of washing hands before and after certain activities such as using the toilet, playing, going to the market, and helping with household chores. They were taught the correct method step by step, and one student demonstrated how to wash hands properly. Emphasis was also placed on trimming nails regularly, keeping hair clean, and maintaining overall cleanliness. It was explained that it is our responsibility to keep our homes, surroundings, and villages clean. Additionally, students were instructed to wash hands with plain water first, followed by using the Hand Wash Kit according to the steps provided. A video was shown to explain the proper handwashing technique and the positive impact of regular handwashing on health. The participants were made aware that this habit is crucial for maintaining good health and preventing illness. Both students and school staff actively participated in the activity, and Hand Wash Kits were distributed to them afterward. A total of 55 participants made the activity very successful.
