Health Camp at Nani Silod village


On March 19, 2024, a screening workshop and medical camp were organized for anemia/hemoglobin testing. The camp provided services such as hemogram lab reports, eye examinations, sugar tests, general check-ups, and counseling services. The medical camp was conducted by the team from Shivam Hospital at the Nani Silod Primary School and in the village. A total of 80 patients attended, including 25 brothers, 28 sisters, 15 girls, and 12 boys. Additionally, there were 35 anemic patients. Out of these, 5 patients received medication. Each patient underwent eye examinations, sugar tests, blood pressure checks, and general check-ups. Medications were provided, and counseling sessions were conducted for each patient.

They encouraged villagers to adopt regular cleaning practices, fostering a habit of cleanliness in their daily lives. The efforts were led by an SHG (Self-Help Group) member, who played a key role in coordinating the activities and ensuring community participation.

Child Cabinet at Nani Silod village

On the date of 21-03-2024, the Child Cabinet meeting was held at Nani Siloda Primary School. The meeting primarily focused on the functioning of the Children's Parliament. Introductions were made for the members of the Children's Parliament Cabinet, and discussions were held regarding their roles and responsibilities. The discussion included the duties of the Prime Minister and their role and responsibilities, as well as those of the Ministerial Cabinet, such as the Health Minister, and their tasks. Specifically, the responsibilities of the Cleanliness Minister regarding the cleanliness of the school, including inspection of the grounds and monitoring the cleanliness of the school's sections, were highlighted. Household Surveys in Nadiad and Mahmedabad Blocks

Team successfully conducted 824 household surveys in the Nadiad and Mahmedabad blocks. These surveys were crucial in gathering comprehensive data on the challenges faced by households in these areas. The results highlighted significant issues, such as a lack of access to potable water, proper sanitation facilities, and functional drainage systems for a majority of the households. Furthermore, the surveys revealed high dropout rates among students and alarmingly low literacy rates among women. These findings point to the urgent need for targeted interventions aimed at improving both living conditions and educational outcomes in these communities. In total, 824 households were directly impacted by this survey.
