SHG Workshop


On the day of the SHG Workshop, organized on March 5th, 2024, the program commenced with an introduction to SMC training by Mr Zala, followed by a warm verbal welcome to the esteemed guests. During this session, Mr. Bhavaneshbhai from the Saath organization provided an overview of the vision and mission of the organization, elucidating on the project details. Subsequently, Mr. Zala initiated the training session, covering the significance of SHG groups, their necessities, and the purpose behind organizing the SHG Workshop, providing comprehensive information on the matter.

The SHG (Self Help Group) trending workshop included the presence of the village sarpanch, as well as other village leaders, who attended the training session initiated by the village elders. They were present during the SHG workshop conducted by the organization. The workshop addressed how many SHG groups exist in the village, how many are formed, and the process of forming them. It also highlighted that several SHG groups have incomplete procedures, and you were required to address the challenges faced in forming and operating these SHG groups. Suggestions were made one after another, and solutions were provided for their resolution.

All the women members of the SHG (Self Help Group) were present to discuss the formation of the women's committee and what steps should be taken further. Suggestions were made regarding the rules of the committee, its responsibilities, when loans can be disbursed, how many group loans can be given, and the rules for returns. It was emphasized that every member should become familiar with banking procedures and practices so that they can engage in banking transactions confidently. This information was provided by Mr Zala. Women participating in the SHG group workshop were highly enthusiastic and actively participated.

Members of SHGs (Self Help Groups) from various villages attended a meeting organized near CRC Moti Silod by the Panchayat. Mr Zala, as a representative, was present, and discussions were held regarding the main objectives of the SHG and what role it can play. Detailed discussions were conducted on the responsibilities of SHGs and what issues exist in the villages and SHG groups that require urgent solutions. It was emphasized that detailed discussions should be held on issues that we can address, both in the village and within the SHG group.
