International Woman's Day


On March 7, 2024, on the occasion of International Women's Day, a celebration was organized by Vikshan and Saath at the Sardar Patel Hall, Taluka Panchayat, Nadiaad. The event aimed to celebrate the contributions of women from villages surrounding Nadiaad Taluka who have been associated with developmental work alongside these organizations. Officials for taluka, district, and legal assistance, as well as Vibhaben, were welcomed and honored by Vikasat organization. Following this, prominent guests were welcomed with flower bouquets. During the event, examples of women who have excelled were shared to encourage and motivate them. They were invited to share their stories of struggle and success, allowing them to inspire others and shed light on their journey. Additionally, Vikasat organization provided essential information for agriculture and horticulture farming, and the Rural Development work was reviewed by Bhaveshbhai, Saath. Overall, the celebration of International Women's Day was a grand success.

On the date of 21-03-2024, the Child Cabinet meeting was held at Nani Siloda Primary School. The meeting primarily focused on the functioning of the Children's Parliament. Introductions were made for the members of the Children's Parliament Cabinet, and discussions were held regarding their roles and responsibilities. The discussion included the duties of the Prime Minister and their role and responsibilities, as well as those of the Ministerial Cabinet, such as the Health Minister, and their tasks. Specifically, the responsibilities of the Cleanliness Minister regarding the cleanliness of the school, including inspection of the grounds and monitoring the cleanliness of the school's sections, were highlighted. Household Surveys in Nadiad and Mahmedabad Blocks

Team successfully conducted 824 household surveys in the Nadiad and Mahmedabad blocks. These surveys were crucial in gathering comprehensive data on the challenges faced by households in these areas. The results highlighted significant issues, such as a lack of access to potable water, proper sanitation facilities, and functional drainage systems for a majority of the households. Furthermore, the surveys revealed high dropout rates among students and alarmingly low literacy rates among women. These findings point to the urgent need for targeted interventions aimed at improving both living conditions and educational outcomes in these communities. In total, 824 households were directly impacted by this survey.
