Stakeholder Visit to Community Resource Centre for Project Review


A stakeholder visit was organized at the Community Resource Centre (CRC) in Silod, involving key representatives from nearby villages such as Silod and Varsola. The invited stakeholders, including school representatives, panchayat members, dairy cooperatives, and local authorities, participated in discussions spanning over 1 to 2 days. Mr. Kanubhai Chauhan (Sarpanch) and Grishbhai Rohit (Taluka Sadashiy) chaired the discussions, which focused on briefing the stakeholders about the operational aspects of the CRC center. Detailed information on the ITC project and other ongoing activities was shared with all visitors, providing an opportunity to address their queries and resolve any concerns. These visits were instrumental in fostering collaboration and coordination between the CRC center and local stakeholders, ensuring effective implementation of community development projects and enhancing the quality of services provided.

On the date of 21-03-2024, the Child Cabinet meeting was held at Nani Siloda Primary School. The meeting primarily focused on the functioning of the Children's Parliament. Introductions were made for the members of the Children's Parliament Cabinet, and discussions were held regarding their roles and responsibilities. The discussion included the duties of the Prime Minister and their role and responsibilities, as well as those of the Ministerial Cabinet, such as the Health Minister, and their tasks. Specifically, the responsibilities of the Cleanliness Minister regarding the cleanliness of the school, including inspection of the grounds and monitoring the cleanliness of the school's sections, were highlighted. Household Surveys in Nadiad and Mahmedabad Blocks

Team successfully conducted 824 household surveys in the Nadiad and Mahmedabad blocks. These surveys were crucial in gathering comprehensive data on the challenges faced by households in these areas. The results highlighted significant issues, such as a lack of access to potable water, proper sanitation facilities, and functional drainage systems for a majority of the households. Furthermore, the surveys revealed high dropout rates among students and alarmingly low literacy rates among women. These findings point to the urgent need for targeted interventions aimed at improving both living conditions and educational outcomes in these communities. In total, 824 households were directly impacted by this survey.
