Visit to Anganwadi Centers for Health Assessment and Support
The team conducted visits to 11 village Anganwadi centers to collect critical data on adolescent girls, lactating mothers, and pregnant women. These visits aimed to assess the health status and needs of these groups within the community. Among the 507 adolescent girls in these villages, only 260 use sanitary pads during their menstrual cycles, while 247 do not use them, mainly due to a lack of awareness regarding hygiene practices. The team also identified 127 pregnant women and 138 lactating mothers in need of tailored support. In addition to gathering health information, they documented the cultural activities celebrated at the Anganwadi centers and identified areas requiring further support to address the challenges faced by women and adolescents. This information will guide future initiatives aimed at improving health awareness and support within the community.
