ITC Visit to CRC Silod Office

On June 25, 2024, Mr. Pranab Nayak and Mr. Jahnvi from ITC visited the Saath Office at the CRC Silod Office. During the visit, they were provided with detailed information about the ongoing program and its various thematic areas. The team elaborated on the activities being carried out under each thematic focus. Mr. Pranab Nayak emphasized the importance of approaching the work in a systematic and peaceful manner, while also maintaining a high standard of quality in infrastructure projects. This visit highlighted the commitment to structured progress and collaboration in achieving the program's objectives.

World Blood Donor Day Celebration at PHC Arera

On June 14, 2024, World Blood Donor Day was celebrated at the Arera Primary Health Center (PHC) with the participation of SHG group members, village leaders, and community members. The event aimed to raise awareness about the importance of blood donation, inform the community about health schemes, and empower them with crucial health information. The staff of the PHC, in collaboration with villagers, provided accurate information about the blood donation process and its benefits, encouraging voluntary participation. A total of 37 individuals, including PHC staff and villagers, donated blood, making a meaningful contribution to the success of the event. The celebration served as a platform to foster a sense of community and responsibility toward health and well-being.

Duke University Students’ Visit to Silod Village

On June 19th, 2024, a group of students from Duke University visited Silod village. The purpose of the visit was to provide these students with an insightful experience regarding the governance and infrastructure of the village. During their visit, they inspected older homes in the area and were given a detailed explanation of the role of the Panchayat (village council) in local governance. A key part of the visit was a meeting arranged with the Sarpanch (village head) and Talati (village secretary), where students could interact and understand local leadership roles. Additionally, the students were shown a toilet block constructed by the organization as part of village development initiatives. The visit, facilitated by Ms. Belaben, gave the Duke University students a meaningful insight into the workings of rural administration in Silod.
