Rangoli Competition to Celebrate Independence Day at Moti Silod Primary School

On July 30, 2024, as part of the district administration's Independence Day awareness campaign, Moti Silod Primary School hosted a Rangoli competition to encourage creativity and patriotism among students. A total of 25 students, divided into 5 groups, participated by creating Rangoli designs themed around Independence Day. Each group displayed unique artistic skills and imagination, reflecting their love for the country through vibrant and meaningful designs. The competition not only highlighted the children's hidden talents but also boosted their confidence, fostering a spirit of creativity and community engagement among the students.

Formation of Child Cabinets at Moti Silod and Gadhwa Primary Schools

On July 29, 2024, Child Cabinets were successfully formed at Moti Silod and Gadhwa Primary Schools. These cabinets, composed of enthusiastic students, serve as a platform for youth to advocate for their interests, engage with the community, and contribute to decision-making processes. Teachers played a key role in guiding and training these young leaders on their responsibilities and the significance of their participation. By empowering students in five schools through these Child Cabinets, the initiative aims to nurture proactive leaders who can address issues impacting their peers and communities, fostering a culture of active engagement and positive change.

Exposure Visit to ITC-Supported Projects in Saharanpur

From July 23rd to 24th, 2024, a two-day exposure visit was organized for the Saath team to explore ITC supported projects in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The visit, facilitated by Mr. Parnish, Mr. Pranab Nayak, and Mr. Manoj Mishra from ITC, aimed to provide insights into successful initiatives implemented in the city and nearby villages. The team, including Mr. Raju Param, Mr. Chetan Patel, Mr. Bhavnesh Makwana, and Mr. Prince Chauhan, participated to understand the project's impact and assess how similar strategies can be replicated in Kheda District. The knowledge gained from this visit will aid in developing a detailed micro-plan to implement in their region.

SMDC Meeting on Infrastructure Development at Nani Silod Primary School

On July 18, 2024, a School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) meeting was held at Nani Silod Primary School to discuss the development of key infrastructure projects under the ITC project led by the Saath organization. The meeting focused on constructing a kitchen shed, handwash station, and drinking water tank to enhance school facilities. The meeting was attended by the school's principal, Ms. Heenaben Mehra, SMDC members, and School Teachers. During the session, the Saath organization's Project Officer provided an overview of past SMDC meetings and outlined the new initiatives. A key point of discussion was obtaining 10% of the project cost as a community contribution from the village. Anaemia and Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program in Silod and Varsola Villages

On July 9th, 2024, an awareness program on anemia and menstrual hygiene was conducted in the Anganwadi centers of Silod and Varsola villages. The event was organized to educate women and adolescent girls about the importance of maintaining their health, with a focus on anemia and menstrual hygiene. The session was led by Resource Person Ms. Matagiben, who provided insightful training on these topics. The workshop began with an explanation of anemia, including its causes, symptoms such as tiredness, frequent illness, difficulty breathing, and overall weakness. Attendees were encouraged to consume iron-rich foods, including green vegetables, legumes, dairy products, and yellow fruits, to combat anemia. They were also advised to check their blood every three months to monitor their health.
